A Gridfinity generator for the drawer you actually have

Draweroo designs a 3D-printed drawer organizer around the real inside size of your drawer. Type in the width, depth and height, drag in bins or draw your own, and download STL files for the baseplate and every bin.

Most Gridfinity generators give you a baseplate with a whole number of 42 mm squares and leave the rest of the drawer empty, so the organizer slides around. Draweroo turns the leftover space into a solid rim, so the baseplate fits wall to wall. If the drawer is bigger than your printer bed, the baseplate is split into parts that do fit, with seams on grid lines.

How to make a drawer organizer

  1. Measure the inside of the drawer. Width, depth and height. Leave about 1 mm of play.
  2. Pick your printer. Or type in the bed size, for example 256 × 256 mm for a Bambu Lab P1S.
  3. Add bins. Drag ready-made bins from the library, or drag across the grid to draw your own. Give them a height, dividers and a label.
  4. Download the files. One zip with every baseplate part and bin as STL, plus a print list.
  5. Print. PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, no supports.

Dimensions used

Grid pitch42 mm
Bin outside size42 × n − 0.5 mm
Bin corner radius3.75 mm
Bin wall and divider1.2 mm
Baseplate profile height4.45 mm
Bin foot0.8 mm chamfer, 1.8 mm straight, 45° up

The baseplate profile stops 0.2 mm below the knife edge, so neighbouring pockets share a printable 0.4 mm ridge. Bins have no stacking lip, because bins in a drawer are not stacked.

Questions

What is Gridfinity?

An open system for 3D-printed storage, created by Zack Freedman. Bins sit in a baseplate with a 42 mm grid, so bins from different designers fit the same baseplate.

My drawer is bigger than my printer bed. Does that work?

Yes. Pick your printer and Draweroo splits the baseplate into the fewest parts that fit. Seams always fall on a grid line, and the drawer walls hold the parts together.

Do I need supports?

No. Print bins standing on their feet and the baseplate flat.

Which slicers work?

The STL files are watertight and open in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura and ElegooSlicer without repair.

Is my layout uploaded anywhere?

No. The designer runs in your browser and keeps your layout there. A share link carries the layout inside the link itself.
